Auto EE
Hand it a datasheet and get back an LTspice model, along with a score for how well it matches.
Electronics engineers who need a SPICE model the manufacturer never published.
diode_pn_v1| Item | Result | Fit |
|---|---|---|
| vf hard | 0.580 V at 10 mA (max 1 V) | 1.000 |
| diode_fwd_iv | NRMSE 8.861 | 0.000 |

What it does
Turn a component datasheet into a SPICE model that’s been checked.
If the score is too low, a numeric optimizer takes a pass, followed by a repair loop using Claude Code or Codex on your own machine, so there are no API keys to manage. The agents can only suggest changes; the Rust code writes the model files. Seven kinds of parts are supported so far. Simple parts like diodes pass today, and power transistors don’t yet.
- 01
Checks its own work by simulating the model against the datasheet’s curves
- 02
A graph digitizer that finds the axes, reads the ticks and traces each curve
- 03
The same inputs always produce the same model file
- 04
Jobs can be stopped and resumed, with every step logged
Where it stands
The diode passes. The transistors don’t yet.
From the latest batch run, with the current code: one part per category, and four of the seven categories finished so far. A model passes at 0.85. The diode has held at 0.8600 through about forty commits that touched the scoring and fitting code, so it doubles as a regression test. The transistors are the work in progress.
| Part | Category | Score | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1N4148 | Diode | 0.8600 | Pass |
| FGH40N60SMD | IGBT | 0.4679 | Not yet |
| EPC2010C | GaN HEMT | 0.3644 | Not yet |
| 2N7002 | MOSFET | 0.2791 | Not yet |
Seven kinds of part
A template, a bench and a rubric for each.
Each category has its own SPICE templates, its own LTspice test benches and its own scoring rubric. The classifier picks the category, and the subcategory picks the template.
| Category | Templates |
|---|---|
| Diode | diode_pn_v1 diode_schottky_v1 diode_zener_v1 diode_tvs_v1 diode_led_v1 |
| BJT | bjt_gp_npn_v1 bjt_gp_pnp_v1 |
| MOSFET | vdmos_n_v1 vdmos_n_thermal_v1 vdmos_p_v1 |

Provenance
Every model says where it came from.
Each generated .lib starts with the same comment block: the template, a hash of the device.json it was built from, and a plain warning.
