Notes
What it does.
Flash an SD card, put it in a Raspberry Pi with a touchscreen, and it boots straight into a launcher with about sixteen display apps: weather, calendar, departures, an aircraft radar scope, Home Assistant, now playing, system monitors, clocks, a focus timer, generative art and more.

- 04
Settings done entirely by touch, with no keyboard needed
The apps
Sixteen of them, each themed for its own subject.
The platform decides which app is on screen, runs the launcher and the schedule, and raises the screensaver. It doesn’t paint over the apps. Calendar feeds are fetched by the Pi’s own server, and the Home Assistant token stays there, out of the browser.

Updates
About a minute, over your network.
A computer is allowed to update the panel once it’s been paired with a four-digit code from the panel’s Update app. After that, one command builds, signs and sends a release, then watches it install. If the panel doesn’t come back healthy, it puts the previous release back on its own. There are no public releases yet, and a redesign that pulls the sixteen apps into one product is in progress.
# once, with the code the panel shows pidisplay pair --code 4812 # every update after that pidisplay update
