Plays video inside Microsoft Excel, using each cell as a pixel
Project brief
CellVision resizes worksheet cells into a square grid, reads frames from a video file with OpenCV, and draws each frame by setting cell fill colors (or ASCII characters) over COM.
It’s a novelty. It’s also a fun way to find out how fast Excel’s COM interface can go.
What’s included
• Turns a worksheet into a frame buffer, one cell per pixel
• Color fill and ASCII rendering modes
• Streams frames over COM onto a pre-sized grid to keep writes fast
