Project brief
A rebuild of the Windows 11 Task Manager that matches it exactly: every page, column, action, dialog and setting, and nothing extra.
It’s built on WinUI 3, using CsWin32 for native calls plus hand-written bindings for the ntdll functions CsWin32 doesn’t cover. The spec starts by working out which Task Manager numbers can actually be read from user mode, since that decides what the rest of the build can do.
What’s included
• Matching the real Task Manager is the goal, tracked with a feature checklist
• WinUI 3 on the Windows App SDK, unpackaged, for x64 and ARM64
• Native calls through CsWin32, with hand-written ntdll bindings where needed
Current status
This is a prototype. This page describes where it’s headed now. It doesn’t promise general availability.
