How it works

A mobile base-builder about running an aircraft company. What Skyfoundry does, what it’s built with, and how far along it is.

The premise

Skyfoundry is a mobile base-builder set in an aviation company. You grow your manufacturer’s airport campus, train a fleet in your hangars, and fly short Takeover Runs against rival companies’ airports for loot and reputation.

It’s in the middle of a redesign. The playable build is still the earlier prototype, an idle game about building an airport and its aircraft that was ported from a browser game to Godot. The new home base is being built on top of it now.

What’s included

An airport campus to grow, with hangars that train and hold your fleet

Takeover Runs against rival companies’ airports

The earlier prototype is playable: facilities, research, aircraft assembly and deliveries

Built in Godot for portrait phones, with an unsigned iPhone build that compiles

How it’s built

Skyfoundry is built on Godot 4.7, GDScript and JavaScript.

It lives in a private repository, and its history isn’t published.

How the work is done

Every project here starts as a written spec, and the spec stays the source of truth once there’s code. The repository keeps a build plan with current status, an append-only decision log of where the code departed from the plan, and a handoff document that describes where things stand, including the unfinished parts.

That’s how one person keeps this many projects moving, and it’s what this page is written from.

Current state

Prototype. Works, but isn’t finished.

The source is private, so the way to check what this page says is to use the product.
