Where it stands
Parts, bills of materials, change orders and revisions all work.
Ciclo now runs on the suite’s shared tenancy, design system and sign-in, so a company, a member and an invitation mean the same thing here as in the other three products. What’s left is the rules an engineering change process needs.

Grouped by theme, in the order we plan to do them. There are no dates, and nothing on this page is a delivery commitment. The order can change if a customer gives us a good reason.

Change control with more than one editor
A change order describes what a product is going to be. If two engineers edit the same one at once, neither should be able to silently overwrite the other. This work makes the change process correct when several people use it at the same time.

- One authoritative revision sequence, replacing the two implementations of it
- Part and change-order numbers that can’t collide when two are created at once
- Approval and promotion enforced on the server instead of in the client

Deviations that expire
A temporary deviation from a bill of materials is only safe if it ends when it’s supposed to. Right now the expiry date is stored, but nothing acts on it.

Cross-tenant administration
Ciclo used to run on its own infrastructure, with its own admin tools. Those went away in the move to the shared platform, and rebuilding them there is the last part of the migration.

CAD file editing
Ciclo keeps the record of a part. You can attach drawings, but you don’t create or edit geometry in it.

MRP and production scheduling
A manufacturing system can use Ciclo’s bills of materials, but that’s a separate product.
How this is maintained
Every item above is tracked in our own issue tracker, and this page is rewritten from it. Open bugs and security work are left off. Those stay in the tracker until they’re closed.
