Not yet. It will be $1, paid once, and that price won't change. The checkout stays closed until the 5 things on the pricing page are done, among them signed installers and testing on real machines. Nothing is being collected in the meantime: there's no pre-order, no deposit, and no waiting list.

A key that activates Fileporter on five computers at a time, Windows or macOS, for as long as you want to run it. Activating a computer is one request, once. After that the license is checked on the computer itself, offline, and a computer that’s been activated keeps working whatever happens to this company or this website.

Every computer gets 14 days of full use from its first launch, with no key and no sign-up. When the trial ends, sending stops, including batches already queued, which wait until a key is entered. Receiving never stops, so nothing someone has already sent you is stranded.

No. Fileporter for iPhone is free on the App Store and needs no key.

Release its seat. In the app that’s Config, then Release this one next to the license. If the old computer is gone, use the My computers page. A key can release three seats in any 30 days.

The resend page emails every key bought with an address back to that address.

No. There’s no subscription, and there’s no second charge. There's no higher tier, no upgrade to buy, and no feature held back for a paid version of Fileporter. There's only one version.

If it doesn’t work for you, ask within 30 days and you’ll be refunded. You don’t need a reason, and there’s no form to fill in or anything to prove. At this price it isn’t worth arguing about. Your email asking for the refund is enough, and it will be honored.

Stripe handles payment. You enter your card details on Stripe’s checkout page and Stripe processes them. DWMM Holdings never sees, receives or stores them. Fileporter has no account and no telemetry. We can’t see what you send, to whom or how often. The only things the app ever tells us are the details it sends when a computer is activated or released, described below.

The price is decided, and the release isn't ready. The license terms, the refund window, and the $1 price are set and won't change. What's left is the 5 items on the pricing page, each a piece of engineering rather than a date. Posting the price now lets you decide whether it's something you'd want to buy before all that is done.

No. There’s no relay, no storage service, and no coordinator. Your devices open an encrypted connection directly to each other. The desktop app goes online for two things only: activating a key, once per computer, and checking for a new version when you ask it to.

It resumes. Incoming data is staged and checkpointed as it arrives, so after a dropped connection, a restart, or a sleep, it picks up where it stopped. That works as long as the source files are still there and haven’t changed.

No. Your devices only see devices that use your owner ID, and only devices you’ve trusted can offer anything. Trust requires both sides to prove over TLS that they hold their identity, and a device whose identity no longer matches what it advertises is rejected.

The approval. A device that enters an existing owner ID waits until one of yours approves it, after you compare the code on both screens. The ID itself is short and could be guessed, so it’s a filter, not a secret. On a network you don’t control, also turn on confirmation-required in Settings.

No. Fileporter won’t replace existing content when it finishes a transfer. If the name is taken, it writes a numbered copy.

There’s a free iPhone app on the App Store, built on the same core, which sends and receives like any of your other devices. iPhone receives while the app is open. Linux isn’t supported.

No. Fileporter only works on a local network. There’s no NAT traversal, no relay, and no WAN path, and manual addresses are limited to private ranges.
