A simplified copy of Avidex’s valuation, running in your browser on 12 real PA-28-140 listings from September 2026. It uses the same steps and settings, but it isn’t connected to Avidex, and Avidex isn’t open to the public yet.

What it does

Free aircraft valuations, built from real listings.

It checks about 25 marketplaces and brokers every day, so it can also show how long planes sit on the market and how their asking prices change. Each aircraft’s page pulls in its FAA registry record, accident history and airworthiness directives. It isn’t open to the public yet. The scrapers and valuation engine are working, and the market-trend pages are still filling in as the nightly job collects history.

The comparables

Twelve Cherokee 140s for sale in September.

These are the listings behind the estimate above, from Barnstormers and four broker sites. Avidex re-checks them every day, so it can tell how long each one has been listed and when the price moved. Days count from the first time Avidex saw the listing. A dash means it’s only been seen once, and Avidex won’t guess a number from one sighting.

Where it’s weakest

The methodology page lists its own gaps.

Every number on a valuation traces back to the listings it came from, and every adjustment says whether it was measured from the comparables or taken from a default. These are the parts Avidex can’t measure yet.

  1. 01

    No sale prices

It only sees asking prices, so it takes 6% off for a piston single and says so on its own line.

  2. 02

    Thin models

Rare types don’t have eight comparables, so the comp set widens to the model family or two years back, and the range gets wider.

  3. 03

    Self-reported condition

Hours, damage and logbooks come from whoever fills in the form.

  4. 04

    No regional adjustment yet

It’s built and switched off until there’s enough data to back it.
